In addition to having the privilege of being mom to my teenage son, L, I am in the process of adopting two beautiful girls from Pyatigorsk, Russia. This is our adoption story...
Happy Birthday, K! Tina, I know it's hard to miss her birthday. Been there, done that. But. . . it's not too long now. I'm sure she's thinking of you today. Next year, she'll be home for her birthday and it's a big one!!
You may not get this, but I'm going to try anyway. I have been thinking constantly about you. I just checked the Stavropol webcam and it is 1 a.m. on Sunday morning. You are there!!! You are probably trying to settle down to sleep after your flight and get a few hours before you see K and A. Just a few more hours and all of the months will melt away. Have a blast! I can't wait to read every detail!
It's me again. I was hoping you'd blog about your first day back with the girls. Either you're too tired or the lovely hotel internet is out. Imagine that?! :-) Oh well, we'll just keep praying. I know you are getting ready to wake up to your first day at court, probably at 2 in the afternoon. I will pray for you before I go to bed. Don't be nervous! Everything will go great! They're almost officially yours! Woo Hoo!
Hi! Tina's sister E here. I received a few text messages from Tina...can't get on internet so she is unable to blog. Day one of court was long but went well. On day two now. When she first saw K and A they ran up to her yelling, "Mama"! She says they've grown like weeds and are very excited. She will text again when she is the mother of three.
Thanks E for the update! I figured the internet was down. We had the same experience there. There is no way to communicate from there.
Tina,
I woke up at 2:48 this morning. I did some quick figuring and realized that it would be 11:48 Stav time. That was about the time we left the courthouse as official parents of the boys. I knew that if your time schedule was the same, you were now K and A's mom officially. Congratulations! I'm still crossing my fingers and praying the 10 days were waived. Hope to hear some news soon!

Hi Tina,
We're thinking of you and anxious to hear how things are going. You are not alone. Have a great trip. Your old math teacher buddy, Linda.
